Description

This is an early to mid-19th century building on Western Road, originally with two storeys and two windows. It is constructed of painted brick, with the gable end facing the street. The ground floor features shop windows flanking a glazed entrance, with shallow segmental relieving sashes above. The return to the west has two windows. Architectural details include pebble stonework with red brick dressings and a modillion eaves cornice. Kneelers are present on the gables. This building is part of a group with numbers 3 and 5 Norfolk Road, and numbers 18 to 24 (even) on Western Road, with number 3 Norfolk Road being of local interest.
