Description
24 Western Road is a mid-19th century building that was originally part of a pair but has since been modernized. It stands two storeys tall and features five windows. The building has a slate hipped roof and is constructed of painted brick, topped with a modillion eaves cornice. To the left, there is a garage with a panelled door, which has a new bracketed pediment above it. To the right, there are a pair of glazing bar sash windows with cambered heads, one of which has replaced a former door. On the first floor, there are glazing bar sash windows with cambered heads on both the left and right sides, along with a mezzanine window in the centre. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 3 and 5 Norfolk Road and Nos 18 to 24 (even), with No 3 Norfolk Road noted for its local interest.
