Description

No. 43 Western Road is an early to mid-19th century building that stands two storeys high and features one window. It has a hipped slate roof and the first floor is slate hung, showcasing twin flush framed glazing bar sash windows. The slate hanging extends around the east and west sides of the building. The ground floor is made of painted cobble with brick dressings, and there is a canted bay window on the ground floor to the left. The original entrance has been blocked, and the door is now located on the west side. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 37 to 51 (odd), the garden walls to the east of No. 51, and Nos. 30 to 36 (even), with No. 45 being of local interest.
