Description

This is an early 18th-century building of two storeys, located on Burgate. It is constructed of painted brick with rusticated quoins. The roof is tiled with stone coping at the right gable, incorporating a kneeler. The front has three window openings, one of which is blocked. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars, each featuring a keystone. The ground floor has two early 19th-century canted bays and a door consisting of six fielded panels, set within a plain, pilastered doorway and finished with a keystone. Steps and iron railings lead to the entrance. The building also has a visible plinth. It forms a group with numbers 1 to 15 (inclusive) and 17 to 21 (inclusive) of Burgate, and with numbers 30 to 40 (inclusive), with a shared local interest.
