Description

This is an 18th-century building on the west side of Burgate. It is two storeys and has attics, constructed of painted brick with rusticated brick quoins. The roof is tiled with pantiles, and features two later dormers. The windows have been altered; the two windows to the left are modern with a painted lintel and no glazing bars. A canted bay window has been added to the right. The ground floor now has a modern door with a rectangular fanlight, and plain pilasters frame the shop front. The building is part of a group of buildings of local interest, along with numbers 1 to 15 (consecutive) and 17 to 21 (consecutive), including numbers 3A, 6A, 12A, and 12B, and numbers 30 to 40 (consecutive), with specific exceptions.
