Description
Nos 6 and 6A Burgate is an 18th-century building featuring two storeys and attics, constructed from coursed stone with a pantile roof and stone coped gable ends. The building has seven windows in total, with No 6A displaying windows that have wooden lintels. The entrance to No 6 consists of a six-panel door that is accessed by steps, topped by a rectangular fanlight. No 7, which is painted, has three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, along with two modern dormers. No 8 features windows with ornamental drip moulds, while No 9 has a ground floor shop front with plain pilasters, a door, and a blocked rectangular fanlight, along with a six-panel door and one window under a wooden lintel.
Nos 1 to 15 and 17 to 21, including Nos 3A, 6A, 12A, and 12B, are part of a group with Nos 30 to 40, among which Nos 4, 5, 12A to 14, 17, 18, and 37 to 39 are noted for local interest.
