Description
White Horse Cottage, formerly the White Horse Inn, is believed to date from the time of Richard II. The building is constructed of stone, with part of it painted, and features a pantile roof with two brick stacks. It has four modern casement windows with glazing bars, and the lintels are made of painted stone and rendered material. The entrance includes a modern six-panel door and a plain modern door. The ground floor has modern casements with glazing bars, including one window with three lights. There are also remains of crucks visible.
White Horse Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 15 and 17 to 21, as well as Nos 30 to 40, with some of these buildings, such as Nos 4 and 5, 12A to 14, 17, 18, and 37 to 39, being of local interest.
