Description

This is an 18th-century building with later additions, located on the north side of Eastgate. It is two storeys high, constructed of coursed rubble with a pantile roof that is hipped towards the road. The stone gable end is coped, featuring kneeler details. The front has one window positioned above a garage entrance, a single canted bay window, and two further windows, one of which is blocked. These windows have flat lintels embellished with an incised keystone, and lack glazing bars. The ground floor incorporates a 19th-century shop front, featuring two windows that are slightly bayed under a fascia, and a central entrance door. Nos. 4 to 6, and No. 17 form a group, with No. 6 being noted for its local interest.
