Description

123 and 124 Eastgate are an 18th-century building of two storeys, constructed in coursed stone with a pantile roof. The roof has stone coped gable ends with kneeler details and three brick stacks. There are three windows on each floor, each with stone lintels and modern glazing. The building has two doorways: one is modern, and the other is a panelled door with five panels, a stone lintel, and a blocked fanlight above. The buildings at numbers 105 to 126 (inclusive), including the Royal Oak Public House and Crossways Hotel, form a group, with buildings 105 to 111 (inclusive), number 126, the Royal Oak Public House and Crossways Hotel being of local interest.
