Description

These are eighteenth-century cottages situated on the south side of Eastgate. They are built of coursed rubble with a pantile roof, featuring coped gable ends and a kneeler on the right. Number 119 has a modern dormer window with glazing bars and a modern, plain door set under a lintel. A modern bow window has been added to the ground floor. Number 120 has two windows without glazing bars, positioned above two modern windows, all set beneath original thin wooden lintels. A modern half-glazed door is also set under a similar lintel. Numbers 105 to 126, along with the Royal Oak Public House, Employment Exchange, Number 133 and Crossways Hotel constitute a group of buildings of local interest; within that group, Numbers 105 to 111, Number 126, the Royal Oak Public House, and the Crossways Hotel are specifically noted for their local significance.
