Description

The properties at 17 and 19 Benedict Street likely date to the late 18th century. They are a two-storey building constructed of red brick, with parapets featuring kneeler details at the gable ends. A continuous eaves line is visible. Brick pilasters are placed on either side of the front facade. There are five windows; two on the second floor are blocked. The windows have painted keystones and originally had sash windows with glazing bars. A small bay window with three lights is centrally positioned on the first floor, containing sash windows without glazing bars. The ground floor has been altered with a modern shop front. Numbers 17 to 25 (the odd numbers of Benedict Street) form a cohesive group.
