Description

These are a pair of cottages, likely dating to the late medieval period, with alterations made later. They are two storeys high. The front is roughcast, with a projecting upper floor. The roof is covered with pantiles. There are three windows, with 19th-century sash windows containing some glazing bars; two large windows with three and four lights are on the ground floor. One six-panelled door provides access, accompanied by a small shop front. The ground floor rooms contain moulded beams. The roof is open timber, showing evidence of previous thatching. Numbers 4 and 4a make a notable group.
