Description

White Cottage Cafe, located at 16a Magdalene Street, is a building that likely dates back to the late medieval period and has been altered over time. It features a two-storey front with a pantiled roof and eaves. The upper floor has two windows that are three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a projecting shop front to the left, which includes a plain fascia and a half-glazed door. To the right, there is a square-headed archway that leads to the rear of the building. Inside, one original moulded beam remains, extending through the wall to support the archway.
