Description
Priory House, which is now St Louis Convent School, was built around 1800. This two-storey building is constructed of ashlar and features a moulded cornice and a parapet. It has an old slate roof with end chimney-stacks. There is a plain sill-band at the first floor level, and the façade includes five windows with keyblocks, as well as an arched central window. The windows are sashes with thin glazing bars. The entrance has a segmental-headed doorway with side-lights set in a moulded stone surround, featuring honeycomb glazing bars. Above the door is a semi-circular traceried fanlight, and the door itself has four panels. A later wing extends forward on the left side. Priory House and Somerset House together form a group.
