Description

Priory House is a late 18th-century brick house with associated gates and railings. The house is constructed in Flemish bond brickwork with a pantile roof. It features a central-hallway entry with steps leading to a six-fielded-panel door set within a fluted pilastered doorcase and a radial fanlight, all recessed within a round brick arch. The windows are recessed sash windows with glazing bars, each with a wedge lintel. A dentilled eaves course runs along the top of the house, and the gables have coping. There are end stacks.

The interior of the house retains original cornices. A Carron grate is present in the right-hand reception room. The staircase has plain square-section balusters. L-hinges are fitted to a cupboard door at the rear of the property. The front of the property features gates and railings with spearhead points on the railings and urn finials on the posts.
