Description
This is a late 18th-century threshing barn located to the south of Greystone in Nether Poppleton. The barn is constructed of red brick, featuring raised brick gables and kneelers, with pantile roofs. It has large double plank doors on either side, with the northern door slightly projecting. Each side wall includes two bands of plain breathers, with diamond pattern breathers positioned between them. The east gable wall is blank and has three rows of plain breathers, while the west gable wall contains similar breathers along with an upper 2-light casement window that has glazing bars, as well as irregularly spaced small diamond breathers. Inside, the barn features a late 19th-century timber roof structure.
