Description

This is a mid-18th century house on Main Street, Nether Poppleton. It is constructed of brick in an English garden wall bond, with a pantile roof and two eaves courses of concrete tiles. The house has a central entrance, and is two storeys high with two bays. It features a plinth and steps leading to a four-panel door topped by an elliptical fanlight. The ground floor windows are flush 16-pane sashes set within elliptical arches, while the first-floor windows are similar sashes with soldier arches above. A first-floor band runs along the facade, topped by a dentilled eaves course. The raised gable ends have replacement coping, and there are end stacks.
