Description

This is a mid-to-late 18th-century house located on South Street. The house is constructed of English garden wall bond brick, with painted ashlar dressings and a rendered plinth. The roof is covered in concrete tiles, with brick chimneys. It is two storeys high and has two windows on each floor. A half-glazed door, set within an architrave, is positioned to the right of the first bay. The ground-floor sash windows have vertical glazing bars and thin wood lintels, and are fitted with external shutters. The first-floor windows are 20-pane sashes in wide boxes, with soldier course lintels. A two-brick band runs along the first floor. The roof has swept eaves, and there are end brick chimneys. A boot-scraper is located to the right of the front door.
