Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on Middle Street in Nafferton. It is constructed of brown brick in an English garden wall bond, with stone dressings and a pantiled roof. The house follows a central direct entry plan with a rear outshut. The symmetrical front elevation has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance features a six-panel door with an oblong fanlight, all topped by a wedge lintel. It is flanked by sliding sash windows with sills, each also under a wedge lintel. The first floor has further sliding sash windows with sills. A dentilled brick cornice runs along the eaves, with sprocketed eaves and end stacks featuring plain close verges. The rear of the house has a catslide roof.
