Description

This is a late 18th-century house situated on the east side of Middle Street. The house is constructed of brown brick in an English garden wall bond and has a pantiled roof. It originally comprised two bays, with a single-bay extension added to the right. The front features a central four-panel door, with tripartite sliding sash windows to the left and right. The first floor has sliding sash windows with glazing bars. A stepped brick eaves cornice runs along the top of the building, while the roof is swept and there are end chimney stacks. The brickwork on the raised gables is tumbled. The extension to the right has a four-panel door to the left and a sliding sash window with glazing bars to its right, mirroring the original house's details with a stepped brick eaves cornice, swept roof and end stack, and tumbled-in brick to the raised gable.
