Description

This is a late 18th-century house on Middle Street. It is constructed of brick, which has been colourwashed, and has a pantiled roof. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The design incorporates a central entrance leading directly to the rear of the building, with a rear outshut added later. The front door is a 20th-century addition, featuring an oblong fanlight and a wedge-shaped lintel, flanked by 16-pane sash windows in architraves with sills and wedge lintels. Above the door is a blocked opening, flanked by further 16-pane sash windows within architraves. A dentil-detailed brick cornice runs along the eaves, with plain, close verges. The rear of the house has a catslide roof.
