Description

This churchyard wall dates from the early to mid-19th century. Constructed of red brick and coursed squared limestone, it runs approximately 100 yards east-west along the north side of the churchyard and features a 15-yard return wall to the north. The wall is approximately 6 feet high in the west corner, rising to about 10 feet at the east end. It has a red brick plinth and quoins, limestone walling, a stepped brick band near the top, and is capped with double courses of pantiles. Two quoined brick doorcases with segmental heads are situated roughly one-third and two-thirds of the way along the wall's length, and a similar doorcase is present in the return wall. The wall is included on the list for its group value with the Church of All Saints.
