Description

Kilburn House is a mid-18th century house situated on Church Lane in Nether Poppleton. It is constructed of brick in an English garden wall bond, with a rendered rear elevation and a French tile roof. The house features a central-hallway entry with an outshut to the left and single-storey outbuildings to the rear. The main facade is two storeys high and comprises three bays, incorporating a plinth and steps leading to a four-fielded-panel door, which is topped by an elliptical fanlight. The windows are flush four-pane sashes, all set beneath elliptical arches. A first-floor band runs along the facade, and there is a stack located at the left end and on the ridge. The outshut and outbuildings are not considered to be of particular architectural interest.
