Description

Bankside is a house dating from the mid-18th century, constructed of brick in Flemish bond with a pantile roof. It features a central hallway entry and a continuous outshut at the rear. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. Access is via steps leading to a six-fielded-panel door that is topped by a divided overlight. The windows are flush sashes with glazing bars, and all openings have elliptical arches. There is a first-floor band and a dentilled eaves course, with end stacks on the roof.

Inside, there is a fine dogleg staircase with square knop column-on-vase balusters and a ramped handrail. The interior also retains original four- and six-fielded-panel doors, as well as original fireplaces.
