Description
The garage at Manor Farm is possibly a village lock-up, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone with some large blocks and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is square in shape, consisting of a single cell and standing one tall storey high. The only original window is a deeply-splayed, chamfered, square-headed slit window on the south facade, which is now blocked. Above this, to the right, is a later inserted fixed window. Garage doors have been added to the east side. The roof is pyramidal in shape. Inside, the walls are approximately one metre thick, and the hand-cut timbers in the roof indicate evidence of reuse, although the apex is not visible. This building is included for its group value.
