Description

BUCKLAND BUCKLAND VILLAGE SP 03 NE 2/5 Garage to Rectory. (formerly listed as part of 4.7.60 Rectory including stables) GV II Former stables, now garage. Late C18, altered mid-late C20. Rubble stone, larger quoins, stone slate roof. Three bay, one room deep, lofted. To house, 2 up and over metal doors, panel above, lean-to stone buttress between. Boarded door on right, in 2 halves, timber lintel. Parapet gables, cross-gablet apices. Right return stone trough set into wall on left, timber lintel over. Two-light casement window, timber lintel. Internally, tie beam truss with collar, probably partly reused timber, one pair purlins, heavy square ridge. Listed principally for group value.
