Description
This is an early 19th-century outbuilding located to the south of Quarry Hill Farmhouse, originally serving as a stable and cowhouse, and now functioning as a garage. It is constructed from coursed squared stone with a brick rear in English garden wall bond, featuring a Welsh slate roof. The building is single storey and consists of five bays. It has five round-arched recesses with top casement lights and a slate impost band; the left-hand recess includes a wide inserted garage door. The hipped roof has two ridge vents. The stonework includes a plinth at the rear and sides, with the rear side featuring a stable door under a flat brick arch on the left, a blocked doorway that has been converted into a window on the right, and an eaves band. The right return has a former flat-arched doorway that is now a window. Inside, there are fishbone king-post roof trusses. This building is included for its group value.
