Description

Mile post located on Birdforth Bridge, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape. On the left side, there is a hand pointing left with the inscription "BIRDFORTH." On the right side, there is a hand pointing right with the inscription "BULMER WEST." It is likely that this mile post is not in its original location.
