Description

Manor Farmhouse, along with its gate and railings, is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with a 19th-century addition to the left and some alterations. It is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is L-shaped, featuring a central hallway entry that leads to a three-bay main range. At the rear, there is an outshut beneath a catslide roof, and to the left, a lower single-bay extension that is recessed. The house is two storeys tall and has four first-floor windows.

There are steps leading up to a four-panel door that is topped by an overlight with margin lights, flanked by flush four-pane sash windows, all of which are set beneath segmental arches. On the first floor, the flush four-pane sashes include a central window that is narrower than the others. The eaves are dentilled, and the roof is hipped to the right, with a stack located to the left. The 19th-century extension to the left features a 20th-century door and casements, along with a stack at the left end.

Inside, there is a closed string, dogleg staircase with a column-on-vase design. Some H-L and long strap hinges are still present on the cupboard doors. The front gate of the property has dogbars and fleur-de-lys finials, while the railings, which also feature fleur-de-lys finials, stand on a low wall.
