Description

Abbot’s Leigh House is likely from the early 19th century and is set back from the road. It is a two-storey building constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings. The house has a cornice and parapet, and a pantile roof. Banded quoins are visible, as are three windows with stepped voussoirs. The windows are sash windows with thin glazing bars. A central round-headed doorway features a moulded surround, a keystone, and a semi-circular traceried fanlight, with a six-panel door. A lean-to extension is attached to the right side. The house forms a group with the wall to the west of Abbey grounds, Abbot's Kitchen, and the Abbey itself.
