Description
The Copper Beach Hotel, dating from the late 18th century, is a three-storey building constructed of freestone. It features moulded stone eaves and a pantile roof, with gable-end parapets that include kneelers and brick stacks. The façade has three windows, with keyblocks, and a central round-headed window on the first floor, all fitted with sash windows and glazing bars. The entrance is marked by a stone doorcase that has plain pilasters and a triangular pediment. Flanking the front of the building are two ashlar piers with moulded tops, which support wrought-iron lamps adorned with scrollwork. The Copper Beach Hotel and the Old Pump House together create a notable architectural group.
