Description
Nos 1 and 2, The Armoury, are a pair of 18th century cottages located on the east side of Magdalene Street. The cottages have rendered fronts, with No 2 painted, and feature parapets along the top. They have a continuous pantile roof and a total of five windows, two of which are blocked in No 1. The windows are sashes set in plain reveals, mostly with glazing bars, and there is a large fixed-light window to the left. Each cottage has two doorways: No 1 has a six-panel door, while No 2 has a four-panel door with the upper two panels glazed. Nos 19 to 23 (odd) and Nos 1 to 6 (consecutive) The Armoury form a group.
