Description

Crutchfield Farm House is a 17th-century house with 19th-century alterations. It features a timber frame that is exposed on a rendered plinth, with rendered infill. The left gable has a diamond pattern tile hanging, and there is a brick connecting wall to the left of the center. The rear is constructed of red and blue brick, with tile hanging above. The house has plain tiled roofs, with end stacks to the right and left of the center and a ridge stack to the right.

It is two storeys high with attics, displaying two jettied gables supported by bressumers and moulded brackets. The right gable has bargeboards and finials. A further gable bay is located at the left end, linked to the center by a single-storey screen wall. The first floor on the right has two 3-light leaded casement windows, one in each gable, and there are two additional windows in the left gable. The ground floor features a leaded window in the center, a ribbed door to the right, and a brick single-storey porch to the left with a half-glazed door.

On the right-hand return front, there is a gabled wing set back from the front, which has carved dragon posts at the angles, a jettied first floor, and quatrefoil bargeboard decoration. The end of the wing features a polygonal angle bay that is at right angles to the rear left.
