Description

Meadowside is a 17th-century house with minor later alterations and a 20th-century roof covering. It features a timber frame with sections of wattle-and-daub and painted brick infill, along with a sandstone plinth and stacks. The roof is covered with concrete tiles. The building consists of two framed bays aligned east to west, with the western bay having a lower roof line. There is an entry on the east gable and another entry to the left of the center on the south front, with gable end stacks. The house is single storey and attic to the west and two storeys to the right. It has a 2-light casement window in the dormer to the left and a 3-light casement window to the right, along with two 3-light windows on the ground floor to the right of a lean-to porch that has a half-glazed door. There is also a ledged door on the east gable end with a lean-to porch. The framing of the house appears largely complete, showing three and four square panels from the sill to the wall-plate.
