Description
Hemhill is a house that may date back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill, brick refacing, and 20th-century additions, topped with a thatched roof. The structure consists of two framed bays aligned north to south, with a 20th-century addition to the north. There is a south gable end stack and a lateral stack on the west side. The entrance is centrally located on the west front, and the house is single storey with an attic. On the right side, there are two dormers with 3-light windows, while the ground floor has a small pane window. To the left of the lean-to porch, which has a 20th-century door, is a 3-light window with a cambered head. The framing has been altered and originally featured three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate.
