Description

The Leasowes is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and a thatched roof. The building has three framed bays oriented from north-west to south-east, with a gable-end stack on the south-east side and a roughly central stack. The front of the house is one storey with an attic that is lit by an eyebrow dormer. To the left of the centre, there is a large 20th-century porch with a hipped roof, and the entrance is located on the right return wall, which has a thatched canopy. On the ground floor, there are three windows, each with 2-light casements. The framing consists of two and three square panels high.
