Description
Rallywood is a house built around 1840, constructed from grey brick in a largely stretcher bond pattern, topped with plain tiled roofs. It has a half-H shape plan and features lower red brick extensions at the rear. The building stands two storeys tall and has a corbelled, diagonal brick-dentilled stack located to the left of the centre ridge, along with another rear ridge stack to the right of centre. The outer gables project and include red brick diamond panels beneath scroll-edged barge-boards. Each gable has one three-light cambered window on both floors, featuring margin light tracery and three-diamond tracery panes in each light. There is a similar three-light window at the centre of the first floor, located under a gabled through-eaves dormer. Additionally, there are single-light windows on the ground floor to the left and right of centre. The entrance features a six-panel door set within a wide gabled, barge-boarded rustic porch.
