Description
Greenside Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was refronted in the 18th century. It is constructed of brick, covered in incised render and colourwashed, and has a plain tiled roof. The cottage has two storeys with end stacks and an attic beneath two hipped roofs, featuring leaded casement dormers. Architectural details include brick dentilled eaves and a render plinth. On the first floor, there are two leaded casement windows, while the ground floor has two three-light windows. The central entrance door is made up of six panels, dating from the 20th century, with the top two panels glazed with "bulls eyes." A wide, open gable hood supported by scroll brackets and framed in an architrave surrounds the door. The left-hand return front is tile hung.
