Description
Lindeth Cottage is a cottage dated 1650, located in Plaws Hill, Shere. It is constructed of rough coursed sandstone with brick dressings and has a plain tiled roof. The building has a T-shaped plan with a projecting gable bay on the left side. It stands two storeys high on a plinth, featuring a plat band above the ground floor on the right. There is an offset end stack on the right side. The first floor has two leaded casement windows, while the ground floor has one window in the gabled bay and another casement window to the right. A pentice roofed porch is located at the re-entrant angle, which has a round arched part-glazed door. The left-hand return front includes a gable on the left with one first floor window and two ground floor windows.
