Description
Thatched Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1700. It is built of coursed rubble stone with quoins and features a thatched roof, complemented by brick stacks at the ends and rear. The cottage has brick coped gables, with the front facing to the right. It is designed in an L shape, with a wing that projects to the rear. The building stands two storeys high and has two sets of centre-opening three-light casements with leaded lights. A central wooden open porch with a plain tile hipped roof leads to a two-leaved part-glazed door. The rear wing includes a stone and brick projecting side stack and a one-storey lean-to extension with a corrugated tile roof. Additionally, there is a one-storey lean-to extension between the main range and the wing, featuring a plain tile roof and a 20th-century curved bay window with five lights and leaded lights.
