Description
Brook House is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins and features a thatched roof, which has two brick ridge stacks and a brick stack at the right end. The left gable is stone-coped while the right gable is brick-coped. The cottage has one storey and five casement windows: starting from the left, there is a 2-light window, a plank door, a centre-opening 3-light window, a 1-light window, another centre-opening 3-light window, a plank door, and a final centre-opening 3-light window. Above these, there are two eyebrow dormers, one with a 2-light window and two with centre-opening 3-light windows. At the left end, there is a one-storey outbuilding and garage extension with a corrugated tile roof. At the right end, there is a centre-opening 3-light casement window on both floors. Inside, the cottage features chamfered beams and an inglenook fireplace.
