Description
Deepdale Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1700, with a half-storey raised in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone, featuring quoins and a small amount of red brick, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof that has a brick ridge and right end stacks. The right gable is finished with stone coping.
The building has two storeys, with a combination of windows including a 1-light and a centre-opening 3-light casement on the upper floor. The ground floor features, from left to right, a 2-light casement, a centre-opening 3-light, a tiny stone-framed 1-light, and a 4-panelled door that is accessed by four brick steps, followed by another centre-opening 3-light. The windows have wooden lintels. On the left end, there is a 2-light horizontal sliding sash window on the first floor. The right end includes a single-storey extension with a corrugated tile roof.
