Description
No. 24 Brook Lane is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins and features a corrugated iron roof, with a brick stack on the left end. The left gable is stone-coped while the right gable is brick-coped. The building is two storeys high, with a front that is oriented to the right. On the first floor, there are a pair of two-light horizontal sliding sash windows and a two-light casement window. The walling on either side of the cottage is rendered. The ground floor has a central four-panelled door that is sheltered by a small gabled wooden porch, with a three-light casement window to the left and a two-light window to the right. Wooden lintels are present above the openings. Additionally, there is a one-light window on the left end and a lean-to structure on the right end, which includes a door and a one-light window.
