Description

Brookside House is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations to the front in the earlier 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with quoins, and has a plain tile roof with a moulded stone ridge and end stacks. The front elevation features two storeys of a two-light stone mullion window, and on the ground floor, a similar three-light window, a two-light window without a hood mould, and a moulded stone doorway with a four-centred arch and hood mould. A projecting lean-to is on the right, and a one-storey 20th-century extension has a stone stack. The rear has two storeys of three-light casement windows, and two hipped dormers. This building possesses group value from its contribution to the area's aesthetic.
