Description
This is a cottage located in Great Easton, dating to 1703, with later work in 1774. It is constructed of coursed squared stone and rubble stone, with a thatched roof featuring brick ridge and end stacks. The cottage has one-and-a-half storeys. The front elevation has a five-light canted bay window to the left, a central doorway, a two-light casement window, and a five-light canted bay window to the right. Three eyebrow dormers are located at roof level. A rear wing is also present. Above the door is a tablet inscribed "W.B." with the date 1703, though the "03" has been altered to display "74," and underneath is the inscription "Serve God." The cottage formerly operated as the King's Head Inn, reflecting its historical use.
