Description

Brookside Cottage is a late 17th and 18th century cottage located on Brook Lane in Great Easton. The construction incorporates coursed rubble stone and red brick, with a thatched roof featuring a rendered brick ridge and brick stacks at the left end. The gable faces to the right, and the front elevation has one and a half storeys with two three-light casement windows. A set of three brick steps leads up to a six-panelled door with glazed upper panels, positioned centrally to the left. Two eyebrow dormers are present; the left dormer has three lights, and the right dormer has two. The left-hand gable facing features a red brick construction with a four-pane fixed light window above a similar twelve-pane window below. A whitewashed brick lean-to is situated on the right end. Two eyebrow dormers are also present on the rear elevation, each with three lights.
