Description

Holme Leigh House is a 17th-century house located on the west side of High Street in Great Easton. It is built from coursed rubble stone with quoins and stone dressings, topped with a roof made of Collyweston and Welsh slate, featuring brick ridge and end stacks. The house has stone coped gables with kneelers and includes a cross wing on the left with a gable facing.

The structure is 2½ storeys tall and features three 3-light stone mullion windows with hood moulds. There is a similar window in the gable attic. On the ground floor, from left to right, there is a doorway with a moulded 4-centred arch and a plank door, followed by a 4-light stone mullion window and a 2-light stone mullion window, all with hood moulds.

On the left end of the house, there are, from left to right, a 3-light wooden mullion and transom window, a 1-light stone mullion window, a 4-light stone mullion window, and a doorway similar to the front but with a 6-panelled door (the top panels are glazed). This section also includes a 3-light stone mullion window, with all these last four windows having hood moulds. A similar 3-light window is present on the first floor, along with a stone dormer above that features a sundial in the gable.
