Description
Stone Walls is a cottage dated 1694, located on the east side of High Street in Great Easton. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins and features a Collyweston slate roof, which has brick stacks at the right ridge and left end. The left-facing gable is stone-coped and has kneelers.
The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has a front elevation that includes, from the left, a small 20th-century bay with a part-glazed door, a centre-opening three-light casement window, and two part-glazed doors with one-light windows on either side, all set within a glazed wooden projecting lean-to. There are hipped dormers above, including a two-light and a three-light dormer. On the facing gable, there is a one-light window with a three-light window above it. Additionally, on the centre left of the front, there is a stone tablet, either restored or renewed, inscribed with 'H.C. 1694.'
