Description
The memorial gates at Nevill Holt Hall were created around 1950. They are made of wrought iron and feature stone ashlar end piers and low walls. The design includes tall iron gates for both carriages and pedestrians, with sections of screen set on low stone walls. At each end, there are piers topped with moulded designs and stone urns. The gates showcase intricate panels with lily motifs within lancets, and the main gates have a decorative feature resembling an overthrow. Two panels on the gates commemorate the names of 30 Old Boys from Nevill Holt Preparatory School who lost their lives in the Second World War. These gates are part of a significant group alongside Nevill Holt Hall and the Stableblock at Nevill Holt Hall.
