Description
Burchets is a 17th-century house located in Shere, constructed from sandstone with brick dressings and galleting of ironstone at the eaves. The left side features exposed timber framing with brick and whitewashed render infill. It has a plain tiled roof with a tile-hung gable end. The building has an L-shaped plan with a projecting wing on the right and a corbelled end ridge stack also on the right. It is two storeys high, with two casement windows on the first floor to the right and two on the ground floor, one of which is located to the left under a 17th-century arched surround. There is an attic casement window on each floor below. The entrance is located at the re-entrant angle, featuring a part-glazed door in a hipped roofed porch.
